For years, I've been using candles as part of my Sales and Marketing.

I can't tell you exactly why it works, but I can absolutely tell you that it does work!

It is one of my favorite, and most powerful ways to generate more business.

I enjoy how it uses the power of my imagination and I love how it connects me to the UNKNOWN, which is a tremendous source of inspiration, new ideas and of course, peace.

So what I do is:

• get a little quiet
• maybe light some incense
• light a candle (i prefer 7-day votives and i buy them by the case)
• imagine the results of what i am creating - that might be new clients, new partners that bring me new clients, it might be the feeling of EASE with increased cashflow, it could be a great crowd for my next call, class or event. whatever it is, i feel and enjoy, NOW, in this moment, the feelings that i imagine i'll have, and that i want to have, when the object of my desire is here (because it really already is here)
• i intend that the flame hold and transmit this message, this INTENT
• then i go about my day and my life and keep the candle going for the next 7 days

now, every time i see the candle again, when i'm back in my office, i know that it has been working for me, holding and sending out that message, and i am grateful to be using this part of my imagination, and my creative capacity.

and it just works. try it and let me know how it works for you!

and we heard a BIG NOISE.

i thought at first it was a snow plow, but i did not see one go by.

then i thought it was a big bunch of snow and ice letting go and sliding off the roof.

but it wasn't that either.

then sparrow looks outside, and sees that the barn collapsed.

the snow overwhelmed the roof, which fell into and through the floor.

i noticed an odd sense of detachment. like, oh well. we'll just have to take care of that.

our kayaks and bikes are in there somewhere; power tools, ladders

and i just moved a lot of my business inventory out of storage and into the barn to reduce expenses. so that inventory is under the snow and debris..

but this collapsing wasn't generating a lot of upset or feeling sorry in me.

my wife and i have been having a lot of conversations about gratitude and faith and life recently.

and we are very grateful for all the moments we get.

we know (and are practicing) that every event and response in life is an opportunity and a gift to meet what simply is.....

so we started out grateful, and the barn collapsed, and we are still grateful.

Do you ever hear yourself saying “I need more business” or “I need more clients?”

Well, you gotta be careful what you ask for. Some of the clients and business that show up may not be worth it. Especially if you consider that a “bad” client takes up a lot more time, generates less profit and is not as enjoyable as a “good” client. So instead of saying “I need more clients” how about trying “I need more Ideal Clients”

One thing for sure though, if you put some time and energy behind getting some new clients, you will get them. This is the Law of Attraction (LOA) at work. From our earlier work with the LOA, we know that CLARITY is very important to this process of attracting. If we are not clear about what kind of clients we want, we'll get all kinds, and we know NOT ALL CLIENTS ARE CREATED EQUAL!

If you're going to put some energy, money and other resources behind getting new clients, why not go for IDEAL CLIENTS?

Now, of course, the obvious question is – what is an Ideal Client?

Well, it is different for every business. Only you can say what it is for you.

Today's Message: Attracting Your Ideal Clients

It doesn't take a lot more work to attract Ideal Clients than it does to attract any other type of client. But again, why would you want anything other than new Ideal Clients, if it was in your power.

Is it in your power?

Well, why not try it out for a while? Try an experiment with your business as the laboratory. The following practices don't take any time to implement once you get clear from doing the exercise.

You just need to keep a clear picture in your mind and use the results of this to inform you as you go about your business.

Beyond the simple transactional thing that you do, i.e. “I cut their lawn” or “I gave a chiropractic adjustment” or “I did their taxes” or “I upgraded their lighting”

As a Spiritual Entrepreneur, you want to answer this question for yourself and your business:
What is your business – Really?
Not just at the superficial level of a quick answer. But at the level of service and the difference you and your business make in the life and work of your clients. And you want to look at the impact you get and the results you create in your own life. Give yourself some time with this exercise. You may want to put it down after you work on it a bit and revisit it every day for a few days to see what bubbles up and shifts for you.

How come so many of us have GREAT ideas, and INSPIRED thoughts and maybe even wonderful, life-changing NEW YEAR'S RESOLUTIONS, but they never really amount to anything?

Why do 92% of our thoughts about changes we want, end up in the junk heap of unrealized ideas?

2. Achieve what you desire

That would be pretty amazing, life-changing, and probably help you generate a lot of money and a lot of free time, and other good things, don't you agree?

Well, the answer to the earlier questions is also the driver in the process of creating what you want for yourself in your life.....

Today's Message: Your Daily Energy

When we want more from our lives; more money, better relationships, better health; when we set out to be, do or have something different in our life and business, and that thing is not in our life now, we could say that the thing we desire has a higher energy than the level of energy we are currently holding. It's like a thermostat. If we want 80 degrees in our house, but the thermostat is set for 60 degrees, no matter how much we want 80, it isn't happening.

We have our personal thermostat set for the life we have now. This thermostat “sets” the level of money, fun, and relationship that we have. Although there is plenty of money out there, if our thermostat is set for us to receive a certain amount, we will get very frustrated at trying to get more. If we want a better relationship, but our relationship thermostat is set for 60 degrees, we won't experience a 100 degree relationship.

This is why, no matter how much we may want something, most of us don't get it! We haven't learned how to RESET our THERMOSTAT to the higher level of the things we want!

So the question becomes: what is your current thermostat setting for the things you want in your life?

And how do you go about cranking up the heat to meet the level of what you want?

Here are 3 exercises and practices that guide you to build and maintain higher and higher levels of energy throughout your days:

1. Exercise: Daily Energy Journal

The result of this practice is to increase awareness of your energy. This includes checking in with how you feel in your body- Physical Energy, as well as checking in emotionally- Emotional Energy. You can either do this check in with yourself at random times through the day, or if you notice yourself getting emotionally tweaked, or feeling peak, or anytime that you feel something shift, up or down; that’s a good time to check in. 2. Exercise: Your Daily Energy Calendar

The result of this practice is to purposefully add things into your days and weeks, at home and at work, that build and maintain your energy. And bring balance and JOY! 3. Exercise: Tolerations – Reduction and Elimination

The result of this practice is to reclaim energy that you put into things day-to-day, that don’t necessarily serve you anymore. The is a very simple practice and can create amazing amounts of movement and new energy for you. What are Tolerations? some examples are:

• Having a dirty car, a messy office, unclean house, dirty windows

• Incomplete projects

• Unspoken communications

• Debt

• Bad Boss

• Bad Job

• Lack of Exercise

• Not enough money

• Relationship isn’t working

• Cost of Mortgage, Insurance, Cable TV, etc

The quick lesson is either change the thing or change how you are feeling about it (usually resisting it)

The Law of Attraction - Overview

You have probably heard of the Law of Attraction. It was featured in the movie - The Secret. Did you see that? Well, this Law has been around and been in force way before the movie about it came out. The Law of Attraction is - what you think about, what you speak about, and where you put your attention- that is what you will attract in your life.

This Law works whether you are aware of it or not. It makes a lot of sense to see how and what you are attracting, but how do you that? Read on...

Why is this Law important for you?
Well, if you want anything at all to be different in your life, whether it is about finances, health, relationships, - anything -  it would be wise to consider how you got all the things that are currently in your life, because you attracted those somehow. If you do not know how, or change how, you are attracting things, you will keep on attracting the same situations, circumstances and feelings that you have been having.

Here are some other concepts to consider when increasing your awareness of the Law of Attraction:
- The more you Think, Speak and Act about something, the more you will attract it
- The more Attention you give to something, the more you will attract it
- The more Emotional Energy you put into something the more you attract it
- The more CLARITY you have about something the more you will attract it
- Gratitude accelerates the process
- Sharing GOOD NEWS attracts more.

1. Learn how to increase and maintain Your Daily Energy. This practice will take some time as we are used to giving our attention to our minds. Where does your energy go when you are not paying attention to it? Try to see what situations in your day "take" your energy. Also learn to add in more energy by doing what you love to do! Why wait? We don't know how much time we have on the Earth. Enjoy Life Now!

2. Develop a powerful message to inspire you and your clients based on Your Business and Its Impact. The more clearly and deeply you can connect with IMPACT, the easier it is to find your Ideal Clients. And the easier it becomes to attract them and find the partners too.

3. Create a clear and detailed specification to attract Your Ideal Clients and Your Ideal Partners. Who are Your Ideal Clients? If you don't know, make it up! Make up a list of all the traits and attributes you'd love your clients to possess. Once you tackle this list, the next question is: who else has these clients already? Then go to work connecting with these partners and induce and inspire them to hook you up with their clients.

4. Learn to create Your Business Systems so you can enjoy improved results with less work. All successful companies have FORMAL business systems. All companies have systems. The big difference is in how formal, clear, in writing and in practice the systems are. Imagine how powerful your systems are when they are layered on top of Energy, Impact and Ideal Clients.

5. Put all of these steps together in Your Miracle Manifesting Plan - learn how to transform any part of your life with these steps. In a Miracle Action Plan, you use Intention, Attention, Action and Repetition to bring about almost any change you desire. I know that may be hard to believe, but imagine if this formula worked! What would you be willing to attempt with this process?

Overall, these steps can help you:

* Increase your self-awareness, which is at the root of any change
* Increase your personal energy
* Help you define your greatest Business Impact
* Design strategies to connect you with Your Ideal Clients
* Connect you with Ideal Partners to bring you more clients
* Develop Business Systems to simplify your work and magnify your profits
* Improve the financial and performance results in your business
* Increase your income and business value
* Create more balance between work and life
